About Abbie

Hi, I’m Abbie — a small-town country girl from Nova Scotia, Canada, and the creator of Abbie’s Natural and Handmade Products.

I’ve been formulating and handcrafting natural skin and hair care products for nearly 20 years. What began as a personal solution for my own sensitive, reactive skin has grown into a trusted product line used by customers across Canada — and now carried by multiple spas and used in professional services.

I believe skin care should be effective, honest, and safe, without harsh ingredients or unnecessary fillers. Every product I make is thoughtfully formulated using high-quality natural ingredients, with a focus on simplicity, balance, and real results.

My products were first shared through local markets and home parties, and in 2018 I brought Abbie’s Natural and Handmade Products online — allowing me to reach more people while keeping everything handmade, personal, and intentional.

My Story

My journey into natural skin care started with frustration.

For years, I struggled with skin that was sensitive, reactive, and unpredictable. Store-bought products, professional brands, and so-called “miracle cures” all promised results — and nearly all of them left my skin worse than before. Breakouts, irritation, redness, dry patches, even chemical burns — I experienced it all.

One day, while cleaning out the cabinet under my bathroom sink, I filled two grocery bags with barely-used products and sat on the floor staring at them. Every item had been purchased with hope — and every one had let me down.

I remember thinking, this can’t be the best it ever gets.

All I wanted was a face cream that truly moisturized my skin without causing breakouts. When I realized I couldn’t find it, I decided to make it myself.

I had no background in cosmetic formulation, so I committed to learning. I studied ingredient science, essential oils, botanical extracts, and formulation techniques for years before creating anything I was willing to use on my own skin.

When I finally made my first face cream, everything changed. My skin improved — and when friends, family, and eventually spa professionals began using my products in treatments, the response was overwhelmingly positive. That was when I realized how many other people were searching for the same kind of results — without irritation or compromise.

I set out to create a full line of products people could use with confidence — at home or in professional settings — without second-guessing ingredients or worrying about hidden irritants.

I couldn’t find what I needed, so I created it.

And that’s how Abbie’s Natural and Handmade Products came to be.
